We are two like minded ladies who love nothing more than searching out and collecting lovely vintage homewares and collectible antiques with which to decorate our own and other people’s homes and gardens.  

One day over a coffee we decided that we could turn our passion into pleasurable work. Like most women we tend to buy  what we like which is not necessarily something that we actually need, and  whilst thinking of a name this aspect of our characters came to mind and so  VINTAGE WANTS…..NOT NEEDS was born.

We endeavour to have a constantly changing array of wonderful items for you to dress your homes and gardens. We hope that you will like our selection of vintage homeware, collectible antiques, shabby chic, country cottage and vintage items that we will be offering from vintage homewares, vintage toys, vintage books, vintage textiles, vintage pottery, vintage china, vintage jewellery and other items we stumble across on our travels.

We will also be offering vintage ephemera as we have a passion for old papers, photographs from bygone era's and postcards and greetings cards from Victorian times to the 1940's.

One of us is a mixed media artist and we will also be offering vintage style homemade cards and gifts.
Both of us have different interests which mean that we will be bringing different items to the shop but all will be collectible antiques or vintage style with a shabby chic twist. Please keep returning to the store as we will be adding new and varied stock on a regular basis.
